The Executive Director for MANEB, Mr Gerald Chiunda, briefed members of the press on what MANEB is doing in preparation for the administration of 2020 PSLCE and MSCE examinations on the following measures:
a) Timetables and candidates’ identity cards delivered to examination centres.
b). Examination administrators identified.
c). List of items for MSCE Science Practical examinations sent to schools.
MANEB also said it is also doing the following procedures:
a. Re-labelling examinations cartons with new dates.
b. Arrangements with Airtel and TNM are advanced stage to be sending reminders on dates for opening cartons to officers at examinations distribution centres.
c. Arranging to make advance payment of allowances to examination administrators
Expectations for 2020 examinations.
On Security measures taken on the sitting of the Exams Chiunda also explained that :
a. All candidates who registered for examinations will sit the examinations.
b. No exam leakage.
c. No secondary school administrator will procure or source science practical items a day before Science Practical Examination.
d. Examination administrators will report for their assigned duties and do their work professionally.
e. Candidates will abide by candidates’ code of conduct.
f. The general public will be alert and report any suspected cases of malpractice to MANEB and/or Police.
g. Schools will apply Covid- 19 measures already in force at school level e.g hand washing facilities , wearing of masks and also comply with MANEB’s sitting plan.
