DJ Bonchox is set to release ‘Give me love’ and ‘African Gal’ with fellow artists from Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Zambia and Nigeria.
The first song ‘Give me love’ features Fat Mo from Zambia and BKD from Zimbabwe, while the other song ‘African Gal’ features Nigerian producer and musical artist Pfizzy and Tanzanian artist Pederware.
DJ Bonchox whose real name is Bonface Chirwa is a South African based Malawian who started doing international Collaborations online in the year 2019 in the month of December .
He did a song with artists from Zambia,Zimbabwe, Namibia and gained recognition which encouraged him carry on.
He started his music career way back in 2007 whilst pursuing his secondary school education and first had a radio interview with radio DJ Joy Nathu from public broadcaster radio 2 fm a year later.
His first song was recorded and produced by Samuel Zgambo and he started recording an album but failed to complete because of the school he was doing.
He then went to South Africa to fulfill his dreams as a musician and that helped him complete his album titled ‘Africa one nation’ as he also shot videos for his songs.
DJ Bonchox comes from a family with a musical background as his late uncle was once renowned leaders of Mulangeni Sounds the group which did music like ‘Kwathu ku Mulangeni’, ‘JuJu anamwalira’ and ‘Timadya chambo’ just to mention a few.
He said he was motivated by his late uncle to start doing music.
The song which brought him to recognition was titled ‘Silute’ which gained over 5000 downloads and 17000 views within 5 days of uploading it on U-tube.
He has also released two other songs which he plans to put his album and videos online in a few coming days.
DJ Bonchox hails from Embangweni Mzimba and was previously known as Bonchox but changed his name after going to South Africa and got trained as a Disk jokey (DJ) hence assuming the name DJ Bonchox.
