A 35 year old man has died after being attacked by a crocodile In Chikwawa.
The deceased has been identified as Leonard Paul of Tilinta village Traditional Authority Maseya in the district.
On the fateful day in the wee hours of Sunday Paul and his five friends left their respectively homes and went for fishing at Illovo L3 Dam.
Whilst there a crocodile suddenly emerged from the water and attacked Paul and one of his friends.
The beast vanished with Paul, leaving the other victim (Paul’s friend) injured on a right leg.
According to Sergeant Dickson Matemba Public Relations Officer for Chikwawa police station says that, police from Nchalo visited the tragic scene and they only discovered the deceased intestines.
Meanwhile police in the district are warning people not to play or fish in the waters that are infested with crocodiles.
