Ugandan Opposition Party Leader for National Unity Platform, Robert Kyagulanyi, well known as Bob Wine has announced that he has withdrawn the election case petition filed with the Supreme Court in that country.
Writing on his Facebook page, Bob Wine said he has decided to withdrawn the petition over alleged judges bias in the case.
He wrote: “Today, we addressed the nation and officially announced that we are withdrawing the Election Petition from the Supreme Court and bringing it to the Court of the People.
The Supreme Court has very sadly manifested unprecedented levels of bias, partiality and double standards. The court did not wait to be exposed. It exposed itself right from the start.”
Bob Wine further said, when all is said and done, the People of Uganda will have the final say on the destiny of their nation.
Bob Wine lost the January 14 2021 elections to the incumbent President, Yoweri Museveni. And he subsequently filed the election petition to the court, in which he alleged irregularities.
