CorpsAfrica/Malawi a Non-Profit Organisation that focuses on volunteering on Community-led development says it is planning to work with the Government of Malawi in establishing a national youth volunteering program.
According to Country Director for CorpsAfrica in Malawi, Arthur Nkosi, the program will help in the creation of job opportunities among the youth.
Nkosi, said they have so far trained over 50 volunteers in 17 districts across the country.
He said among other things, the volunteers are initiating various projects across the country.
Nkosi said they are also working towards motivating refugees Iiving in the country through various interventions.
The Country Director said with funding from the National Basketball Association of the United States have so far constructed a basketball court.
“As CorpsAfrica we are planning to work with the Government of Malawi in establishing a national volunteering program that will help in job creation,” Nkosi said.
Nkosi further added that the organisation is targeting students who have completed their tertiary education to assist in the volunteering work in different sectors.
The organisation also conducts exchange programmes where Malawian volunteers are privileged to work in the four countries where CorpsAfrica is operating.
The organisation is working in four countries including Malawi, Morocco, Senegal and Rwanda with 290 volunteers and it has so far initiated 500 projects across the four nations.
CorpsAfrica Malawi was established in 2015 and to date, it has initiated various projects including the Job Creation Drive in Malawi.
