There is hope that more than 5000 small companies can be opened in this country following the idea of an organization called Project Innovation Center (PIC) which teaches people the art of making goods using cheap materials.
PIC chairman Kondwani Ngwira said the purpose of this development is to solve the problems that Malawi is facing.
Mr Ngwira said that this country buys goods from other countries that can be produced in the same country.

Among other things, the organization distributes advice to people on how to make food and other things like soap and cement.
According to Ngwira, the PIC wants to achieve the creation of 5000 companies within the next twelve months.
