A local Non-governmental called We Are One Malawi has donated food items to Migowi Children Welfare and Deaf Centre in Phalombe District.
Chairperson for We Are One Malawi Isiah Right says their organization thought it wise to support the school with the food items after noticing that the school was facing a lot of challenges including shortage of food.
Director of this school Phemia Mpombwe has commended the organization for the donation it has rendered them. She therefore, asked other well-wishers in this country to come forefront and support the school with what they have.
She further says at the moment, the school has a hostel for the girls only, but they have idea of construction another hostel for the boys.
Migowi Children Welfare and Deaf Centre started its operations in 2003 and it accommodates about 39 deaf and dumb children.
