Former President and People’s Party Leader, Dr.
Joyce Banda has made a scathing allegation that the Malawi Government has faked COVID-19 pandemic from the word go.
She was speaking Wednesday afternoon during a Tonse Alliance political rally in Nkhata-Bay, demanding accountability on funds pumped in to fight the pandemic Currently, authorities say national confirmed cases of the Coronavirus now stand at 438 with 4 deaths.
The Presidential Taskforce on COVID-19 has
frequently faulted politicians for frustrating the fight
due to their complete failure to adhere to preventive
measures against further spread of the pandemic.
In an earlier interview with Rainbow, Secretary for
Health, Dr. Dan Namarika decried that it is worrisome that some people are peddling lies that the pandemic is non-existent in the country.
