Government through the Ministry of Education has asked Malawians to remain calm as government is doing school readiness assessment.
In a Press Statement released yesterday Wednesday signed by the Ministry of Education Principal Secretary Chikondano Mussa says the call comes amid circulars going around the social media suggesting a process of the schools reopening.
Mussa further adds that the Government is also listening all concerns from the stakeholders on the school reopening. And that once all that is done, Government will officially announce the reopening of the schools.
President Lazarus Chakwera on Sartuday last weak announced intention that Government intends to reopen schools in September, this year.
The press statement came amid speculations awashing the social media specifying dates and set up modalities on schools reopening.
This comes when they are Mixed reactions from various sectors if its indeed necessary to reopen schools early during this Covid 19 period when cases and deaths are still surging up and posing a threats to the lives of teachers and students.
