In line with the initiative that government undertook during this pandemic called masks for all, Zotheka foundation introduced the same campaign to help the initiative that government took by introducing mask for a child campaign.
Mask for every child campaign is aiming at donating face masks to students in rural areas whom may find it difficult to afford the masks and to sensitize the students about Covid 19 pandemic.
George Fungulani managing director for Zotheka foundation said that, they conducted fundraising campaign and they were lucky that some stake holders, well-wishers and other institutions rendered them their support financially and materially.
One of the stakeholders that give them support is my community my responsibility. This team donated masks that were used during the event, not only that, they
gave us some sort of guidance.
Two villages where visited which include Chinyama and Mchedwa primary school, Fungulain said, at Mchedwa primary school they did a career talk program, Covid 19 sensitization, Mentorship program and they also donated the face masks and buckets that students should wash hands before entering their classes.
In Chinyama village they donated buckets and masks to the members of Catholic Church and do the sensitization too.
Above all, Fungulani said zotheka foundation members were happy seeing how there initiative impacted lives of students and community at large.
