The so called 5G towers propaganda is gaining momentum in south africa,corona virus is devastating the world in many ways and forms.Right from the beginning of the Corona virus pandemic,there was lot of theories made with respect to the cause of this brutal pandemic.
The leading theory was that covid 19 was brought about by the erection of the advanced 5G network towers,the citizens of some counties have burnt and destroyed those towers.
The similar cases has been reported in south africa,The unknown group of people are reported to have burned the three towers belonging to vodacom and mtn group after being popularly rumoured to be facilitating the spread of covid 19.
The Province of Kwazulu Natal is amongst the provinces that are hard hit and mostly affected.
The minister of telecommunications Stella Ndabeni Abrams has slammed the act citing that it is criminal and investment threatening.
“It is regrettable that much needed network infrastructure is being destroyed.the country currently need resilient and high speed connectivity for every citizen to enable them to participate meaningfully in a digital economy.further more,mobile telephony is crucial in the fight against corona virus” Says Ndabeni.
