Botswana’s President Dr. Mokgweetsi Masisi, is expected to land at the Kamuzu International Airport (KIA) at 08:30 Hrs on Monday, March 8, 2021, Government announces in a statement.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs discloses that upon arrival at the Kamuzu International Airport Dr. Mokgweetsi Masisi will be welcomed by the country’s Vice President Dr. Saulosi Chilima.
During the visit, the Botswana President will hold bilateral talks with President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera at the Kamuzu Palace in Lilongwe.
The two Heads of State and Government will lead the bilateral talks between Malawi and Botswana and exchange views on the Southern African Development Community (SADC) related issues particularly in the context of Dr. Masisi’s Chairmanship of the SADC Organ on Politics, Defence and Security and the forthcoming SADC Summit in August, 2021.
“The plane carrying His Excellency Dr. Mokgweetsi Eric Keabetswe Masisi is expected to depart from the Kamuzu International Airport on March 8, 2021, at 11:30 am,” reads the statement in part.
