There was some disagreements in Parliament as Dedza Central East Joshua Malango asked the Speaker of Parliament to make a ruling on a fracas that happened in Parliament last week when Salima South member of Parliament Christopher Manja and Rumphi East parliamentarian Kamlepo Kalua were suspended from Parliament.
The two challenged each other to a fight after Kalua had insinuated that the current government has done nothing for the people of the Northern Region.
However, Speaker of Parliament Catherine Gotani Hara said she could not make any ruling on the matter as the matter happened while the First Deputy Speaker Madalitso Kazombo was handling the matter.
Leader of the House Richard Chimwendo Banda said since the matter also involved her as she was mentioned during the fracas last week, it was still relevant for her to act.
But Hon Gotani Hara insisted that, only if the responsible parliamentarian who uttered the words and caused the chaos had something to say, there was no need to continue with the matter.
